Now Apple has also confirmed the same. Recently to TechCrunch Apple has confirmed that iPadOS will ship after iOS, as version 16.1 in a free software update. This is a very special year for iPadOS as it has specially designed features.
With this confirmation Apple iPadOS 16 will release directly with version 16.1. In short users will not see and iPad16OS 16.0 updates. Users will straight go to 16.1. As iPadOS 16.1 will have a delayed release, iOS 16.1 may release around the same time. According to the reports, the reason for this delay is the new Stage Manager features that Apple has been working on. Stage Manager brings better multitasking support to iPads. While the main foreground app remains in the center, the Stage Manager shows smaller snippets of all open apps on the left of the iPad.
