The central government has discontinued the scholarship for OBC students from classes 1 to 8. Instead, kedavilakku is a scheme implemented by the state government with an outlay of funds in the budget. A scholarship of Rs 1,500 per annum is given to the students.
Under the scheme, candidates with 90 per cent marks and above in the previous year’s annual examination, attendance and income up to Rs 2.50 lakh will be considered under the scheme. The last date for submission of applications for students in schools is November 15, 2023.
The available applications are required to be submitted by the school authorities through the portal egrantz 3.0 through the portal egrantz 3.0 by November 30, 2023. A circular containing detailed information (including the application form format) has been published on the websites of www.egrantz.kerala.gov.in and www.bcdd.kerala.gov.in
