Google Chrome threat alert: These users are at “High risk” of hacking Government warns.

Here is an alert warning for all those people who are using Google Chrome. Google Chrome Desktop users are vulnerable to hackers who can take control of their devices. Yes, you heard it right. A “High Risk” threat warning has been issued from the Cyber Agency Indian Computer Emergency Response Team. The chinks in the armour could enable the hackers to execute an arbitrary code remotely.

As a result of this, the hackers can bypass the security on the targeted system. Google Chrome versions prior to 104.0.511.101 are the most affected. The use after free in SwiftShader, ANGLE, Sign- In Flow, FedCM, Insufficient validation of Untrusted input in intents, Chrome OS Shell, Inappropriate implementation in Extension API are the reasons for these vulnerabilities. Hackers are also sending requests to the person. These requests are targeted to exploit these security flaws. The users at risk are also provided a solution from CERT.

The vulnerability (CVE-2022-2856) is being exploited in the wild. So the agency has adviced the users to apply patches very immediately. If not taken seriously, it could let an attacker to execute their arbitrary code remotel. This will bypass the security on the targeted system. This high risk threat warning targeted on Google Chrom Desktop users have been a serious concern.
